ABOUT RACHEL
I'm a born and raised Jersey Girl. I grew up in the same neighborhood I now live in and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm a beach girl through and through. All I need to get by is my well broken in beach chair and my toes in the sand. The fact that people vacation where it snows sort of freaks me out. You know what else freaks me out? People that write their "About Me”" sections in the third person..
I am at my happiest surrounded by good friends, digging my toes into the sand, listening to a little Marley with my camera close by. I don't believe that old saying "good things come to those who wait". I believe good things come to those who want something so bad, they can't sit still. I have a weakness for Coach bags. I am slightly addicted to Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks. I always flip my pillow over to the cold side before I fall asleep. I've seen every episode of "Friends” no less than ten times. Sometimes, I talk too fast… I'm working on slowing down. I love to laugh and I love making people laugh even more.
I think the person that you hire to take your photos should feel like a best friend. I want to be there with you every step of the way. When you need to freak out over an outfit, obsess over a wedding detail or just talk, I'm your girl. I believe that liking me is just as important as liking my work.
I think everyone deserves beautiful portraits. Engagements, weddings and families are all special and deserve to be treated that way
I don't think bridesmaids dresses should match. I think it's okay to throw tradition out the window and do what feels right to you. Weddings and life in general isn't about following the rules, it's about following your heart.
I've always loved photography, ever since I was a little girl with a Barbie camera. It wasn't until I got my first DSLR that I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life. I've never taken any photography classes or had and formal training, but I like to think I've figured things out a little on my own. I'm always learning, always searching out new things and new techniques to make myself a better photographer.
I want to extend the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to my family and friends. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to have in my life. Thank you for always sticking by me, putting up with me, supporting me and my crazy ideas and always encouraging me to dream big. It's because of you guys that I'm the person that I am today. I love you more than words could ever say.
